OPEN STUDIO SESSION X SCHOOL HOLIDAY
Come along for a creative session for 1, 2 or 3 hours. Make whatever your heart desires with the time & clay you have.
Clay can be purchased in the studio at $10 per kilo. Or purchase via the link above.
This session is for both Adults + Children.
No skills or experience necessary. Simone from Studio by the Bay will gently guide you through a step by step process to create your pieces.
FIRING OF YOUR WORK: Simone will glaze all your work in her signature white satin glaze. A small firing fee is required after all work is fired.
What do I bring?
Water bottle
Jacket/ Hat if weather permits
Apron ( optional)
What is the recommended age?
Ages 7 and up, however if you have a younger child that would like to attend, you are more than welcome to stay for the duration of the workshop to support your child.
Please note: If you are bringing other children who are nor participating in the workshop, you are responsible to supervise them at all times.
Do I need any experience?
Not at all! Just come along and let Simone guide you through the workshop. She will support you when you need it and let you become as creative as you want when you want.
What's included in my ticket?
All materials to create your piece. A light (gluten free) morning tea.
When can I collect my work?
Work needs to dry completely before being fired. This can take up to 1 week. Work will be available within 3-4 weeks for workshop date. You will be contacted via email or mobile when work can be collected from Studio by the Bay.
What if my work breaks or cracks during the drying/firing process?
A lot of time and care goes into the drying and firing process to ensure your hand-made pieces come out beautifully the other end. Please note that the nature of clay can be unpredictable at times and on rare occasions, items can crack or break. This is all part of the beautiful, fragile art of ceramics.
