KIDS SCHOOL HOLIDAYS : CREATE A FUNKY MERMAID/MERMAN TRAY

Come and create a fun, colourful Mermaid or Merman tray and learn some fun hand building skills working with clay!

No skills or experience necessary. Simone from Studio by the Bay will gently guide you through a step by step process to create a ceramic piece.

Finish off with a delicious gluten free morning tea in the backyard. NOTE: Parents please advise Simone if your child has any food intolerances.

What do I bring?

Water bottle

Jacket/ Hat if weather permits

Apron ( optional)

What is the recommended age?

Ages 5-12, however if you have a younger child that would like to attend, you are more than welcome to stay for the duration of the workshop to support your child.

Please note: If you are bringing other children who are nor participating in the workshop, you are responsible to supervise them at all times.

Do I need any experience?

Not at all! Just come along and let Simone guide you through the workshop. She will support you when you need it and let you become as creative as you want when you want.

What's included in my ticket?

All materials to create your piece. A light (gluten free) morning tea picnic and refreshments.

When can I collect my work?

Work needs to dry completely before being fired. This can take up to 1 week. Work will be available within 3-4 weeks for workshop date. You will be contacted via email or mobile when work can be collected from Studio by the Bay.

What if my work breaks or cracks during the drying/firing process?

A lot of time and care goes into the drying and firing process to ensure your hand-made pieces come out beautifully the other end. Please note that the nature of clay can be unpredictable at times and on rare occasions, items can crack or break. This is all part of the beautiful, fragile art of ceramics.
